It seems that I had spoken too early of my medical recovery. At first I thought it was an eye issue, and that was just going to get treated. However, it seems that the real issue is a neurological problem and the eyesight troubles were just side effects of the real issue. We are still trying to figure out what it is, however, because my eyesight has been getting worse by the day.
I don't want any attention or pity. The only reason why I'm sharing so much information here is because I feel like my commissioners deserve to know what has been keeping their commissions on hold.

Just an update
I will be taking a little longer to finish the commissions I have, the reason being medical problems. This was the year of really bad luck for me, at least health-wise.
These medical problems also ended up being what I spent my commission money on, just in case you were wondering where your money went.
Thankfully I am getting better so I'll be able to finish all the stuff I owe.
My apologies to everyone who is still waiting on their pieces from me.

How can she base this opinion of not being "artist material" off one individual picture? Every time I happen to stumble upon your gallery, I get incredibly jealous because of the skill and confidence you possess! Your Captain Jack Sparrow painting was my screensaver for 2 months!
I understand that she's your mother and such a comment can be seriously damaging to your confidence, especially because it's come from her, but I urge you not to give up on this dream. If she won't pay for your university, I'm afraid you'll have to find another method. Might I suggest saving up, doing the impossible task of getting a job to fund it, student loans, take on some commissions?
I do not mean to offend you, but your mother must be too blind to see the talent and potential you have.
